After the press noticed these posts, in a statement, Mast apologized referring to his comments as "disgusting and inappropriate" and that he was "embarrassed" to have them associated with his name."

These posts never prompted a pang of conscience or a second thought. They stayed public on Facebook for 11 years until the Sun Sentinel asked about them for a news story.

He justified targeting 15-year-olds as sex objects and talking like pedophiles and rapists on social media as being situational.

Makes one wonder what evil towards girls he justified while serving abroad in the military.

A former running mate described the posts as "This is disgusting, unacceptable and dishonorable behavior for any man, let alone a sitting member of Congress. Rape, violence and intimidation of women and children are not Brian Mast’s punchline — his words are an insult and betrayal to the women he claims to represent.”

A former Mast campaign consultant, Jacob Perry, denounced the congressman: “These comments are vile, disgusting and inexcusable and it makes me regret my prior association with anyone who would speak about young women in such a way. There are no excuses.”

In case you are unaware, at age 15, girls are just beginning to figure out their bodies and their minds. They are NOT READY for men twice their age to be objectifying them and taking advantage of them. They are still children. Biologically, they may have matured, but those girls don’t have the life experience to protect themselves from unwanted advances. They don’t have the maturity to recognize the difference between a relationship and being used. This is why we have laws against having sex with someone age 15!!!

Plot twist: Rocco LeDonni became his campaign manager. So, yes, misogyny is literally built into his campaign.

LeDonni has been running Mast on the campaign promise of protecting the family – while scaring the bejesus out of mothers with his sexual predator language. That is so Republican of them – protect my family's values, but your underage daughter looks incredibly tasty and available to exploit.

Mast doesn't trust that women and health care providers can make sound decisions. He believes in the Federal government interfering in such decisions. He believes that a male majority Congress should legislate women's health. He fought the religious laws of the Taliban and now is imposing religious laws on us.
